How to Get Game Day Ready!

It’s coming - you heard that right. A fresh new touch to Game Day to close out and celebrate the Unstoppable Series Round 3. Now, if you haven’t heard of Game Day, it’s a 12-minute session that combines all elements of the Fitstop Formula and is achievable for the entire Fitstop community to complete. For those not so new to Fitstop, you know it’s actually so much more than a 12-minute workout (I mean, we’re always full of surprises), but today, we’re feeling extra nice and want you feeling Game Day ready (AKA no surprises). So, here it goes…


WHY GAME DAY?

It’s all about coming together and celebrating as a community the only way we know how - through hard work, teamwork and a session where you’re genuinely proud of yourself and fellow Fitstoppers!

Whilst Game Day may seem like a lot from the outside, it’s actually designed for EVERY Fitstopper to participate as we’ve ensured options for all fitness levels and abilities. To put it simply, it brings a variety of Fitstop movements that you do throughout the entire Unstoppable Series program (yep, meaning no crazy surprises)  - these movements come together to make an epic workout putting your strength, endurance and overall performance to the test!

ON THE DAY: CHOOSE TO PLAY OR COMPETE


We get it, we all have different goals and reasons for being part of Fitstop - and we love that! At the end of the day, Game Day is your day and we want you feeling your best, no matter what that looks like - you know best!

PLAY

This is for those of you wanting to complete Game Day alongside your Fitstoppers, without having to worry about weight standards! Playing on Game Day is all about you v you! Don’t worry, we promise you’ll still get your sweat on and finish the Series on a high!  

Choose your weight and intensity, PLAY is for everyone and anyone!


COMPETE

If you want to level up and challenge yourself against your fellow Fitstoppers to see where you’re at (we LOVE a bit of friendly competition), choose to COMPETE. Compete will involve lifting the set weights and you must be able to properly perform the exercises involved in the workout (check with your trainers if you need clarification).

It’s all about going head to head in a competitive style workout across an even playing field - categorised via male and female.

LET’S TAKE A DEEPER LOOK: WHAT IS GAME DAY?

Game Day involves a workout including 6 stations, with 2 minutes per station.

Each station has 1 buy in exercise that must be completed before starting the 2nd exercise. The number of reps you complete of the 2nd exercise at each station contributes to your overall score!

As a reminder, the weight standards are just for those who choose to COMPETE!

WE’LL LEAVE YOU WITH OUR FINAL QUICK TIPS!

  • Focus on the quality of these particular movements in the gym and ask your trainers to help you perfect your form! PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!
  • When the time comes for Game Day, don’t go 110% on your first station! You are working for 2 minutes max effort with 1-minute rest, so make sure you leave some energy in the tank for your final stations! TAKE IT EASY FIRST!
  • To test some of the set weights prior to the day, make sure to attend GAME WEEK (week 6) for some snippets!
  • Play to your strengths! Understand which exercises are your strengths and get as many reps as you can on that station!
  • HAVE FUN! It is a fun workout and made even more enjoyable because you are surrounded by your Fitstop family who have all worked so hard over the Series! Encourage each other, work hard and celebrate your performance!
